This month’s market report for Southwest Florida is starting show us how significant of an impact Hurricane Ian had on the Florida real estate market, specifically Fort Myers and Naples areas. Other major factors contributing to the wild swings we’re seeing are higher interest rates, inflation, insurance issues, etc.
It’s looking like investors will have a window of opportunity to take advantage of a selloff that will happen due to Hurricane Ian. There will most certainly be people who don’t want to live through another storm like that again and vacate Florida altogether. Between this and the lower pricing overall in the market, it’s looking like an investor’s dream…at least in the short term.
